Meditators Book Club: Ashtavakra Gita
October 21 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
This Wisdom series is open to anyone who has a regular or daily meditation practice. We will be both reading and listening to an ancient Vedantic text known as Ashtavakra Gita. This text is about living the ultimate state of being totally free and totally responsible for this entire creation. Its a conversation between a wise king and an enlightened sage. Our central topic is ‘what makes us free?’ What makes us bound, restricted? How to overcome restrictions so that we can experience the Oneness of Life. We will take time to examine our own concepts that limit us and with wisdom, dissolve them… Each week we will take on the task of implementing at least one principle in our life to the best of our ability.
Cost: $10 per session.
